Specialisation Elective (course)
The course introduces students to actor training and text analysis from the perspectives of both the actor and the director, drawing on the realist traditions of Russian and Anglo-American theatre and working with scenes from classical and contemporary dramatic repertoire. In parallel, it examines issues of pedagogy, ethics, and methodology in actor training and artistic education. The course explores acting techniques alongside critical perspectives on theatre pedagogy, learning theories, and educational epistemologies, with particular attention to inclusive, student-centred, and ethically informed approaches to artistic training. Students are introduced to the design, implementation, and evaluation of acting and training programmes suitable for drama schools, workshops, and educational contexts.
